welcome to my domain.
This is my speck in the universe.  I am an artist and photographer in Hobe Sound, Florida.  If you landed on this site by name search, I am not the guy who used to be the  president.  If you are interested in art, nature, photography, or stock photos this site may possibly be of some help, depending upon your interests or your needs.

I have a collection of my art work here.  I would be happy to share any of it with an interested party for what I would consider to be a very reasonable fee. There is no charge to look around, so make your self at home. My images can be purchased in print form or note cards.  I also can rent them to you through a usage license agreement.  I have framed art and matted prints available also.

But enough about me.  We are moving through the uncharted waters of time.  As far as I know, none of this has ever happened before.  However some say that history does repeat itself.  Also there is the axiom;  those that do not know their past are doomed to repeat it.  An entirely true statement in my opinion.

Photography can be thought of in terms of a collection of moments.  Through this invention we are capable of collecting instantaneously  images of moments in time.  This art, or technology, depending on how you want to view it, has come a long way since its’ inception in 1839.  Today  we have some incredible tools at our disposal for creating and manipulating images.  No longer does a photograph necessarily represent an exact duplication of an event or a moment.  For that matter, I’m not so sure that it ever really did.  Consider the fact that the camera only captures what the photographer wants you to see.  By cropping the image for example, which is what has to be done when composing the shot, some elements of the entire scene must be left out.  The photographer always is faced with a choice of what subjects he will shoot.  Thereby the creator of the image can influence his or her audience by what they will or will not see in the final print.  With what we have today artistic expression has been stretched and expanded upon as never before.   Still, these are tools, and only tools, it is ultimately up to the operator of the tools to do the creating.
